Local Yarn Store Day 2019

Local Yarn Store Day
April 27, 2019
www.localyarnstoreday.com

Local Yarn Store Day is a brick-and-mortar yarn shop appreciation day created by TNNA Yarn Group. LYS Day will take place on April 27 and is designed to show support for small businesses while bringing together a unique community of knitters, crocheters, weavers and spinners to drive awareness and celebrate the craft. Vendors and retailers alike are coming together to showcase the benefits of locally owned yarn stores through an array of special products, classes and more!

Must Love Yarn will be celebrating Local Yarn Store Day with free patterns, free pattern books with project yarn purchase, giveaways and more!  This year we will also be hosting two yarn trunk shows.  We will have Rachel joining us from Silkworm Studios and Liz will be here from Kingdom Fleece & Fiberworks!

Legacy Fiber Artz Trunk Show

Join us May 20th, 2017 at 1pm to welcome Sue & Chelsea, the dyers behind Legacy Fiber Artz, as they show off (and sell!) their stunning yarns!  We'll have refreshments and lots of colorful yarn!  More details can be found on our Facebook Events Page.  Also don't forget, we'll be starting a Legacy Fiber Artz Knit Along (KAL) on May 21st!  That KAL will be hosted over on our Ravelry board.

Class Schedule is coming soon!

I've been working on putting together the class schedule to get us through the fall and holiday season.  We've been getting lots of great requests for classes and I'll do my best to squeeze as many of those into the schedule as I can!  We are always looking for class ideas, so do be sure to send your ideas and requests to us as you think of them!  So far I've got: Intro to Crochet, Socks Your Way (double points, magic loop, 2 circulars, 9" circulars, whichever you prefer, toe up or cuff down, we'll address all of your questions and try out some heels and toes too), Beginning Knitting, Ravelry: A Tool Every Knitter Needs (an intro to using and getting the most out of Ravelry), A Hat For Everyone (learn some simple steps to make hats for the whole family that fit without having to use a pattern!), Demystifying Mittens (They really are so much fun to make, don't let the thumb frighten you!).  This gives us a pretty good start for the upcoming season, we don't have dates set yet, we're working on that, but we'll post all of that information as it's released here on the website, on Facebook, Ravelry and we'll send out our Newsletter too!  I hope you are as excited about these classes as I am, I can't wait to teach them!
